Ethos- Environment and Sustainability.
Striving to be as eco friendly as possible is at the forefront of my mind when creating for Luna & Bear and my promise to my customers is to be transparent. This little studio is primarily inspired by nature and as a maker, I will always do my best to make the best choice available so as not to damage our environment.
-All my printers and suppliers are wonderful UK companies. I do lots of research into which companies meet the needs of Luna & Bear.
-Art prints are printed in the UK by DStudio, a carbon neutral fine art printing company.
-Greetings cards are made from recycled materials, and are uncoated so that they can be fully recycled again.
-Luna & Bear original fabric items are printed in the UK using OEKO-TEX Eco Passport certified ink.
-Extra components and materials are sourced from UK companies and local independent shops when possible.
-Packaging- To protect art prints and greetings cards, I opt for compostable sleeves (please do compost these if you can). These sleeves help to protect the paper products during storage, delivery and markets (they have saved a whole table of stock from a mid-summer downpour during a market so I’m very grateful for them). The sleeves can crinkle more than plastic sleeves due to the nature of the materials but rest assured the products are safe inside.
