About Luna & Bear
Hello, welcome, and thank you for visiting!
I’m Alexandra, the illustrator behind Luna & Bear. I’m an art and design and costume graduate, Luna & Bear is the home of my creativity. I’m lucky enough to live in a beautiful village near the south coast of England with my family, surrounded by inspiring marshland, meadows and woodland.
I work from a corner of our living room or in the garden, usually with a cup of much needed coffee to hand, and a child, dog or cat cuddling up to me. I use a mixture of mediums, digital art, watercolours and gouache. Some of my designs are thoughtfully detailed, inspired by our surroundings, nature studies and the wonderful flora and fauna we come across on our wanderings. Others are lighter, more playful and I hope reminiscent of childhood stories and folktales to bring a cosy sense of nostalgia.
I am passionate about supporting small businesses, and am lucky to regularly work with some talented creators (Please have a look at the Luna & Bear blog page, or keep an eye out on Instagram to keep up to date).
From the very beginning, Luna & Bear has been as eco conscious as possible, and I will always take care when designing, making and ordering products and be transparent with my customers (please see the ‘Ethos’ page to read more).
Some things here are permanent pieces, and others are small batches of things that I make on a whim when inspiration arises. Whichever pieces you choose, I hope they bring a little bit of magic into your home.
